Could It Be? MORE Good News?!?!

The same week we were told about Charleston and my new job we received the BEST news of our lives...
Sweet Baby C, debuting June 2012!

Those of you who have followed our infertility journey through 3 rounds of IVF are familiar with the pain and the struggle in getting to this point. Little did we know the good news was just the beginning. To say the last few months have been a roller coaster would be an understatement. I'll explain more soon, but for now, the good news. God is so good!

"He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD."
Psalm 113:9

YAY!!!!!!!!!!! My husband suffered a testicle injury when he lost his legs 7 Sept. and we just found out the other day that IVF with sperm washing is our best bet for a baby. Up until then, we weren't sure it could ever happen for us. Still no promises, but there's some hope now. We will probably try to harvest in the springtime, and as long as the doc can get *some* sperm we can go ahead with a cycle. We're nervous and excited- I hope by this time next year I'm sharing this type of news. Yay, yay, yay for you!!!!!!!!!!!

I will come out of the closet now as one of the people who creeps on your blog and never comments, but this is SO thrilling I had to chime in! Praise the Lord for his goodness and his love of giving abundantly to the children he loves.

I have had some serious (and EXTREMELY EXCITING) talks about marriage lately with my military boyfriend (he's Army JAG), and I have to say your blog has had a huge impact on helping me picture what becoming a military wife would mean for my life. I have loved watching your grand adventures, reading about your frustrations, and watching how your own life, professionally and personally, have been able to thrive in the midst of all of it.

Again, I am so happy for you, and thank you for sharing so generously from your fantastic story.

Congratulations on the exciting news and the move to Charleston! Charleston is one of my two most favorite places in the US (other than the HOT summers there). Lots of amazing history, great places to eat (chefs are flocking them from everywhere), and just a beautiful city all around! -Emily

I just now saw this post. Don't know how I missed it. I am so incredibly excited for you! What a wonderful blessing from the Lord, especially after all you've been through! Our little Andrew was due to make his debut June of this year too, but we unfortunately lost him a couple weeks ago. God has been so gracious through that whole situation and has brought us through it with greater strength than we ever expected.

I really am truly excited for you, because I have family and friends who've dealt with or are dealing with the battles of infertility. It breaks my heart, and hearing news of infertility being broken for the making way of a miracle makes me so incredibly happy! You are going to be an amazing mommy! (And what a neat story you'll be able to share with your child in the future.) :)

Hi. I just came across your blog. First, congrats on your baby news and your next assignment! Second, are you at Incirlik Air Base? I'm a dependent spouse here too, but I don't think we've ever ran into each other. I've been enjoying reading some of your older posts, especially the one about 180 days out - I can relate:)
