The Holy Land

A few weeks ago we had the chance to visit Israel with a group from the base chapel. While we have been blessed with many travel opportunities, this was so much more than travel. As cheesy as it sounds, it was life-changing. An AMAZING trip! Over the next 2 weeks I will share some photos with you from the trip. I hope you enjoy them!

Mt. Caramel, Elijah defeats the prophets of Baal.

Valley of Armageddon, where the last battle will occur.

Jordan at Megiddo. Megiddo is where the word Armageddon comes from.
The city was conquered and rebuilt 25 times. Areas uncovered here were thousands of years old!

Jordan did not want to jump. Again.

Nazareth. This billboard was in front of the church commemorating Gabriel's announcement to Mary. This was our first look into the way Islam views Christianity.

Church of the Annunciation, Nazareth

Inside the Church of the Annunciation, remains of the original church at rear.

Countries around the world donated works of art commemorating Mary. This one is from Japan.

Nazareth

And that's just day one!
