Congrats Cap'n

Last week was an exciting one...Jordan pinned on Captain! Woo hoo! As the Col. who did the ceremony said, "the rank is nice, but let's be honest, it's all about the pay raise." Admittedly, the pay raise is pretty nice. Ha ha. Although, I am also happy for Jordan as I know this rank is more fitting for the level of work he does. I'm so proud!

As a bonus, Jordan got to pin on with 3 of his friends! So proud of all of these boys.

Look at all those Captains! Don't they look nice?

As a SUPER bonus we found out this morning (on his first official day as a Captain) that Jordan was selected to attend SOS (Captain school) in residence (which means in the classroom vs. via correspondence) this summer! This means of every eligible Capt./Lt. on base, and the very first time he could have been picked, Jordan was chosen to go to this school. That's a big deal! So very very proud!

Congrats on Captain! And SOS! My husband is praying that he doesn't get selected for SOS because he doesn't want to go TDY for 6 weeks back in the States. But I'm glad your husband wants to go!

Congratulations to you and your husband! This is a great inspiration for our family, my husband has just joined the Army and is halfway thru with basic. To see you happy and he is going up in rank definitely gives us hope for my husband's new career.

Congratulations!!!

When my husband got promoted to PFC (way back in 2007), the lt. who "pinned" him joked about condoms! At the time we were 18 and 19, just had our first and were pregnant with #2. I love when they are comedic about the whole ceremony :)

Congratulations to Captain Jordan! Way to go and thanks for what you are doing for our country. I just found this blog by doing some hopping. Fun! My hubby and I were both in the AF. We met in England when we were serving over there. So I love reading AF blogs. Take care and am praying for the both of you! Hugs!
