Thankful

In this season of Thanksgiving I am trying to be more aware of things in my life that are God's blessings and the many reasons I have to be thankful. It's easy not to be aware of these things and, admittedly, I have done a good job focusing on the things in my life that are not going my way (oh, and also how every time I walk out my door it smells like flaming crap, thanks Turkey, thanks). So, to help remind me of what I should focus on, here is my list...

- I am thankful for my amazing husband. He is patient beyond belief and so much nicer than I will ever be. He has been by my side as we have struggled with a trying situation. Plus, he's pretty cute.

- Turkey. Yes, I said it. I really do like this place. Today I wore a skirt and tank top. No snow boots this November! I like the exchange rate. I like the weather. I like the travel. I even like the base.

- Friends. I have been blessed with wonderful friends. Germany friends, Turkey friends, blog friends, Texas friends. Many of them have also been there for me the past few months, and I am so thankful for their support.

- Not getting what I want. Honestly, it's a struggle. I've been pretty blessed to get the things I want most of the time. Jobs, friends, scholarships, whatever- it's been easy to come by. Lately, not so much. So, I'm learning, and I'm always thankful for God teaching me new things and making me a better person, even when it hurts.

And now for the deep stuff...
- People Magazine. Because I'm on a budget, I mean love to save (ha!), I have never had a subscription to People magazine. However, my sweet friend Sarah does. Did you know People offers their issues free to subscribers on IPads? Guess who has an IPad? Me! And guess who Sarah let's use her log in to get the issues? ME! YES!

- Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. After the disaster that was Real Housewives D.C., Beverly Hills is a very welcomed break from my hours of homework. Can their faces be pulled any tighter? I think not. Is there any chance Camille is not hooking up with the tennis pro? Magic 8 ball says, not likely.

What are YOU thankful for?

There has been, and always will be, a special place in my heart for the "Real Housewives" series. I like Beverly Hills more than DC. I've liked all the other ones too. I think DC was the worst of them all.

I'm thankful for my wonderful, loving husband, for my incredible family, for my great friends, and also for the occasional bottle of wine to help dull the pain of deployments. That last one is to be expected. ; )

You crack me up!

I am grateful for my hubby and his safety in the sandbox. I know God's got his back because of so many little things that could have already gone horribly wrong. I love knowing God's love.

I am thankful for family, friends and good health. I am also thankful that I came upon your blog :) My husband and I are stationed at Aviano AB in Italy, we've been here for 7 months. I love reading other military family blogs that live overseas. I look forward to reading your blogs.

I'm thankful I don't watch 'Real' Housewives from anywhere.

I'm thankful for a wonderful wife, a wonderful life, 2 dorky daughters (2 great son-in-laws), and above all, that God loves me.
