- "Sometimes you are scary like this. You know, like when you make your face wrinkly and your eyes go like this? Yeah, sometimes you are mad and scary."
- "When I went to a sleep over I had a whole can of soda. I didn't even need to go to the bathroom that night though, cause God holded by bladder."
- I was teaching a lesson on the good Samaritan last week and trying to relate it to how we can be a good neighbor to others. I used the example of a person on the street asking for money. To which one of my students replies, "Oh yeah. I've seen them on my game Vice City. Them and those girls that walk."
- On Monday, I pointed out a mistake a student made on a paper, to which she replies, "What the?!"
- Yesterday I was cleaning up bubbles on the students' tests today and found a booklet with 2 pages stuck together...with a booger.
- And today...
Ah, Kindergarten never fails to entertain.

HAHA what is the "meat" supposed to be!?!?
HAHAHAHA! I wonder what Beth's paper will look like whent they get to that one.
Oh, Beth picked up "what the?!" from a little friend. Took a few days, but we broke that!
OHHHH i almost fell out of my seat!!!! HA!
LOL!!! Kids are hilarious.
Oh.my.goodness!! I'm not going to ask what the meat is supposed to be. Nope. Yikes...
OMG the meat!!!!!!! I busted out laughing!!!
I think... it's a hotdog? Although... I am planning on being a sexual/marriage counselor and I know one day my kids will see my books no matter how hard I hide them. I hope what they find doesn't end up at school.
Hahahahahah the vice city comment is great and that drawing wow! Never a dull moment!
Is the meat supposed to be sausage or a hot dog or something?? I hope so...
I like the hand too, more like a paw but good effort.
Oh my gosh, I almost peed my pants!! Nice meat!! LOL!
All the other stuff made me chuckle too!
no way! seriously, what is the meat supposed to be?
but kindergartener's are the cutest. I love some of the things they say! :)
Oh my word...that would make for a fun parent-teacher conference!
okay you HAVE to ask the kid for an explanation...surely that "meat" drawing is not what it looks like. SURELY.
Hahaha! That's just not right!
hahaha omg. Cracking up. that's amazing.
Hahaha! Thanks for sharing those Casey, so funny!
Oh my haha Were you ever able to find out what the kid actually ment with the meat? ha
Ok.. my husband says inappropriate things about 'meat' but surely a kindergartner couldn't have known that and if so, I dont even want to know what goes on in their house!
Boogers.. I was grading papers once, Im in 1st grade, one of them left me one on their paper, complete with a little nose hair still intact. I wanted to barf right there.
You are a great teacher. The student marked the special sounds, vowels, read the words and drew "corect" pictures. Remarkable. ABEKA is a great reading program. Way to go.
I think that's one of my favorite things about teaching kindergarten...there's never a dull moment.
I'm a little jealous. I wish kids here were that far along in kindergarten. What do y'all use for phonics there?
Ahh the things that kids come up with! :-)
Such a cute post! I just started my own blog and I love reading yours. I'm engaged to a Marine and it's nice to read others who are also in the military lifestyle! Have a great week. :)
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I had to show Josh this one! HILARIOUS!
hahahaha, OMG @ the meat picture. Wow! Kindergarten does seem entertaining.
I agree with an earlier commenter...wonder what the parent teacher conference would be like... oh my goodness. I cannot believe he drew that. WOW
And the VIce City comment made me shake my head, since I know what he is talking about... *shaking my head * wow
THAT IS HILARIOUS
AHAHAHAHAH Oh this made my night. The "what the" comment so sounds like my daughter. Haha. The meat one has me crackin up so bad.
lol beyond hilarious!!
That picture made me LOL - seriously!
I have an award for you at my blog! :)
Ummm ... the meat? What on earth?!
Oh my goodness! I'm cracking up! How I miss teaching kindergarten!
Omg I laughed so hard! Your blog is great btw! We are pcsing to Sembach in September and I came across your blog searching for info!
OMG...this is hilarious. I love it. I used to teach Kindergarten too and have so many good stories like this. I love it!
This was a hilarious entry! I'm definitely loving your blog so I've been backtracking on articles. Anyways, I believe the meat is supposed to be a drumstick! :) I know it looks funny but if you look at it, the part that has the dip in it that looks like a backwards 3, is like the bone. Then the separated circle, definitely the meat portion. Funny how it looks though! :)
