Dang

Well, it looks like I am now a two post a week kind of gal. Dang. I've been doing a lot this week to try to get ready for next week when I add 40 hours of volunteer work at our bazaar to my list of things to do. Good thing the cruise is coming up soon. I need a BREAK!

School Update: Still reading books like a mad woman. I read 8 during Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice (yes, we are just now watching it, Izzy got the test results this week, thanks AFN for being so on top of things!). I am starting to feel like I am getting into a routine, but am worried about November when it seems I have a ridiculous amount of things due.

Teaching Update:
They are not kidding when they say a class can change from year to year! Sent a kid to the office to do his work after he punched a little girl, and he colored on the principal's desk. Right on it. I kid you not. Sent another little girl who had 5 conduct marks by lunch and the principal sent her HOME! A suspension in Kindergarten. Yeah, it's like Dangerous Minds in there. Dang! But, we are making some progress. The first grade teacher said my old student's are not only doing well, but are more disciplined, polite, and independent than any class she has had. Sweet!

and now it's YOUR turn!

I am coming up on my 300th post (dang!) and want to open the floor for questions. Not because I don't have anything to write about other than school, no, of course not. But because I want to answer those questions that keep you up at night. So what do you want to know????

Each question (and becoming a follower) will give you an entry into my giveaway. What am I giving away? I have no idea. Maybe a student, maybe a scarf. I'll let you know when I figure it out. It will be cool though, and you will really really really want it!

Entries close next Friday! (9/18)

Ready, Set, ASK!

And just for fun:
What is the one fashion item you have that you CANNOT live without?

It's about time you got a tough class! You can do it though! Have you tried the mom-whisper? It's scary!

My question- did your college classes truly prepare you for real teaching?

What's your all time favorite book and why?

Can you pick me to win and have the gift be some yummy chocolate and schnapps? That would really make me happy. I miss schnapps after a big meal. ;)

Ha! I love hearing about your kindergarteners. I'm teaching kindergarten for the first time. I've already sent one to the office too. He's cut his hair. Cut my carpet. And completely refuses to listen to me. So different than when I taught 2nd graders.

Do you want to stay in the military long term? Or are you planning on settling down somewhere after his time is done?

Where would you like to live after Germany?

Do you believe you have changed much since you were first married?

Do you believe that your experience with the military has changed you at all?

Holy cow, a kindergartner sent home from school. Craziness. Sounds like you are having a fun year so far.

Once your husband retires/gets out of the military where would you like to live?

What made you fall in love with your husband?

LOL give away a student.

hmmmm... the ones I first thought of were asked already. How about...

Have you always wanted to teach Kindergarden or was it just what was open? And why library science? (I hope I'm remembering right that that's what you're getting your degree in)

Are y'all planning on being "lifers?"

In a perfect world where would you be stationed next?

Coke or Pepsi?

Love your blog and am a fairly new reader. I just added myself as an official follower! :) Congrats on 300!

This is somewhat random, but I remember the controversial "dumb stuff" post that mentioned the hair ribbon. I was LOL! My soldier just came home from Iraq a week ago and I had a yellow ribbon around my pony tail (profile pic). haha The yellow ribbon stems from a previous deployment when we corresponded online. I had one in my hair when I met him in person for the first time after he came home--14 months after the first email!

Anyway, my question...
How do your families act about and respond to your military lifestyle, especially the fact that you're 'so far away?'

that is crazy about that student...so sorry! wow... I would love to know what books you have been enjoying reading...if any from your new class... or who are your favorite authors

Um..yeah, you should definitely find more time to blog. ;) I thought about you last night because I was having all of these random college flashback memories...Miss you!

My question is...If the decision were completely up to you, would you guys stay in the Air Force? If not, what would you do instead? And...Would you ever move back to Hometown, Texas area?

My question:

How does it make you feel that I can drive two minutes from my house and reach a Chick-fil-A, Target and Starbucks? I know previously you mentioned that it made you want to kick me, but I was thinking maybe by now you might just be happy for me :) hehe
