I Will Follow Him...err...Her

220 Followers?! Really? I'm seriously surprised. Google Analytics tells me in addition to that I have about 300 hits a day. That's a lot of people! I started a blog after reading some that I really liked, but never imagined people would want to read mine. Ha!

My most popular posts (comments and views) tend to be the ones where I am whining about something. I'm VERY glad yall are into that :) Whining I can do.

So I'm curious. Why do you follow this blog? Is it the travel? The politics? Because you feel sorry for me? Because I made you?

There are also people who don't follow and look at pages of blog without letting me know you are here (*Cough* Palmdale, CA *cough*). I want to know why you are here too!

So, it's time for a carnival! Wooo Hooo! This carnival will have 2 (very important) parts.

1.
Leave a comment. Let me know why you read. What do you like to see? What do you want to read more of? What do you want to see less of? (And don't say pictures of me. Too bad. You get those. Ha!) And for those I don't know- let me know who you are!

2. Add a link to YOUR blog to the MckLinky. Choose a post that says the most about you. What makes your blog, you? Introduce yourself! Give all of us a chance to follow you too! (Even if I already read your blog- give everyone the chance to see it!)

Come out of your reader. Stop hiding. Link yourself! On your mark. Get set. Go!

I love reading your blog because it is about adventure. Good or Bad you always seem to tell it like it is and aren't afraid to let us see the real you. Not to mention I am addicted after you reccomended American Soldiers, just got my copy in the mail yesterday and looking forward to finishing my other book so I can read it!

I have my blog, His Military Wife (http://hismilitarywife.blogspot.com) and I am trying to do the same thing. Right now I only have 30 followers but I am new to the blogging community! I love to read and am severely devoted to my Hubby! I have 3 kids and am in this world to make a difference even if it is one blog at a time, LOL! I just like to have a good time and I love to write!

Haha, I stumbled onto your blog while looking for a countdown/ticker to how many days until my husband is home (he's in the Army). Let me tell you, it is still a very long time since he just joined not too long ago! I am trying to read from your first post, but it is taking me a while since you've had such an eventful time since you have started the blog. I stay because your personality and your trips! Reading back a few months, seeing you call people out, I was wondering if you'd put me on blast too, and sure enough, there I am! "Palmdale, CA" Don't worry, after I catch up I will stop coming on so much that you think I'm a crazy stalker :p And I also apologize because I may or may not close my laptop without x'ing you out, to save my spot, probably making your tracker show you that I was here for 48+ hours. I promise you I wasn't here THAT long, I do have a life =)

I came to your blog while looking up other military spouses that blog in Germany. I read you because you do some interesting things I will never be able to afford to do. I love your travels and the way you post is very inviting.

Jane said...

Um ... because you crack me up! Plain and simple. And because you get random people sent to you via google too ... here's one for you that I got recently ... Who said lilly cole was frumpy?

How in the world does that end you up at me??? :)

I think two days into school and I'm already losing my mind!

I enjoy reading your blog because I love the way your write (and you pick great subjects) - it's expressive, funny, informative and real. I also like your politics, though weirdly that's probably the bit if I had to choose I'd ask for less of (though more of everything is better!). Just because I can't get away from it at work or in the media and besides, your travel stories and photos are awesome, and the blogs about everyday life are even better.

I am a recent follower and less recent lurker. Born and bred Aussie, I'm about to pack up my life here in my sunburnt country and move to the US to be with my military guy. I am absolutely ridiculously (and sometimes hilariously) terrified by this. Mostly because I'm so disorganised. And partly because I am so not cut out to be a milspouse - which is why I stalk blogs like yours to gather intelligence and pretend as best I can. My blog is mclinkied... absolutely no one reads it, which is fair enough since I'm about as interesting as dry toast most days.

Thanks for the fun carnival!

Girl, you know I love your blog! I have been reading for ahwile now because I just love it. I love reading about your adventures, your traveling, your love of Chick-Fil-A (mmmmm!) and Target, your life as a military spouse, everything. And living abroad, which I would absolutely LOVE to do!

Brittney said...

I'm not exactly sure as to how I came across your blog, except to think that it was through another military wife's blog that I read. I am one myself, so I'm always interested in reading about other ladies perspectives of the life we live.

Your blog is fun to read and easy to relate to as well. I'm the lurker from Del Rio, TX. :) Or somewhere in California if I'm using my IPhone. :)

I follow your blog because I am, too a military wife (Army strong, hooah!). And I just moved back to the states from Germany, so I felt that we had that European connection. :)

Psh. I found your blog from some other mil spouse blogs and was at the time needing some indication that not all mil wives were uneducated uninteresting hussys.
You, and many other of the blogs I found have proved that, which makes me less afraid of becoming one myself!
Plus you're funny. And I like seeing about where you travel!

I found your blog back in the day because my husband had decided to leave his nice, safe, "normal" job of selling insurance and join the Army. I was supportive and in agreement (after a year of him and God working on me) but I still felt totally alone - we couldn't (and still can't, for certain reasons) tell most people what's going on. So I tried finding milwife blogs and yours, plus your great photography and total openness, sucked me in. I LOVE reading your blog and am a dedicated follower!

I found your blog through the Military Wives' blogginess. I may have stopped by once or twice. Unfortunately, I've been too lurky!

I love to read about your overseas adventures and your travels. Hubby (a Navy Flyboy) and I would love to be overseas, but unfortunately it's just not in the cards with his career path, for now anyway. Being Navy we do get the luxury of port calls though... and they always give me a taste of foreign life! They always leave me wanting more!!

I may soon become a military wife so I like reading your blog to know what to expect in reality. I love that you get to travel and see the world while your husband serves his country.

Your whit and sarcasm keeps me coming back! And I, too, am a Texas girl - Beaumont! :o)

I have a blog, www.twistedhearts.wordpress.com that I started so our families and whomever can keep up with our trials and tribulations as we attempt an active duty enlistment for the 3rd time! And possibly planning a wedding before basic training!

I arrived at your blog recently through another blog I read regularly. I'm an Army wife of 2 years and love to read military spouse blogs. I was looking for new ones to follow, and enjoy yours since it is full of all kinds of fun info and pics. You have a fun personality and write very well! Plus, I may live overseas one day and your blog eases my nervousness a bit! :)

I don't even know how I found your blog- just surfing the blog world one day and clicked on lots of different things. I think I came in right about the time you were doing some serious shopping in the US a month or so ago. The shop-a-holic in me totally identified with you, and I learned from then on that you have lots of interesting posts :) I enjoy reading, and I love your travel pictures too- I took a trip to Germany,Austria, and Switzerland in high school and I LOVE seeing pictures of those places again. Especially since our trip was such a whirlwind that I don't remember most of it, and also because I took 10 rolls of film in pictures (before digital!), and they all came back BLANK! :(

I read your blog because I like to read the stuff of opinionated people. Seriously... I am controversial like that. I like that you are sassy. I also dig the photos and adventure.

I blog 2 reasons....
1. because if I read so many...I should contribute to the insanity.
2. It seems to be a creative outlet.

I just posted a link to one of my favorite posts. :)

Hmm - I think you probably know enough about me, but I just love reading your blog because it is interesting and entertaining. I loved your stories about some of the things your students said. I'm not really sure how I found your blog (probably from a link on someone else's) but I started reading it a while ago, and just started to follow you because I have my own blog now! I think your posts are funny and we seem pretty similar! I'm a teacher too and have some equally crazy stories.

I found your blog through at least 20 other sites:) I'm about to be a military wife - just one short month from TODAY (not that I'm counting or anything...)

I'm trying to convince my fiance to move overseas and experience some amazing travel, but the only overseas Marine base is in Japan, so we'll see how that goes.

Oh, and also, I have an unhealthy addiction to Chick-Fil-A. Yes, we're talking twice a day when I'm in the south.

I blog on a web magazine, sheknows.com - my blog is http://military.sheknows.com, stop by!

I found you through someone else's blog I'm sure (that how I found most of the ones I follow). I posted a link to my intro above, wasn't sure about linking to any of my other entries. My blog is a place mainly to vent out my frustrations, with some occaisional funny pet pictures and a fun Saturday game.

I am a kind of new follower I think.
I found your blog while I did some blog-hopping on a boring afternoon.
I do read because I like your writing style, and I am always interested in other nations views on Germany. ( I am German).
I especially like American's views on Germany because I lived in the States for 2 years and is funny to read about the vice versa experience.
I am new to the blogging world, I used to have an online diary during my time in the States and I kind of missed writing.
Right now my life is not that exciting anymore but I am still blogging. :)

As a new military wife, I came across your blog about a month ago when I was looking to read about how other military wives deal with the daily fun that is the Armed Forces. I enjoy reading different opinions, perspectives and experiences. Occassionally I read something that I can incorporate into my own life :)

I recently started blogging again mostly to keep my family back home updated about what's going on with me. Also, it helps to write out some of my thoughts and ideas as learn how to be a grown up.

I don't recall how I stumbled across your blog... Why do I like reading it? Because I used to live in the same town, where you live - in the neighborhood up on the hill by the castle. And I miss it! Keep it up!
