What?! There's more?!!

Oh yes, there IS more. And here is more than you ever wanted to know about me (round 3). This one's theme? "Just Casey"

Why don't you like dogs?
Asked by Sarah and Nikki
Let’s see, they smell, they drool, you have to pick up their poop, they jump on you. Need I go on? We had a lab when I was little, it was very hyper and knocked me down. Ever since then, no dogs. However, I must admit, I met Sarah's dog Keara and she wasn't THAT bad. I'm not saying I loved her, but I didn't kick her. This is a big step.

What is a common misconception people have of you?
Asked by Jasmin
That I am mean. I am honest and sarcastic, but I don’t ever (okay, usually) intend to be outright mean. This is particularly difficult for people who knew me a long time ago to understand. I am a different person. Hopefully I can make people see that.

How much did you pay people to be a follower of your blog? I can't believe 126 people admit to following you! Asked by Laura (my sister)
131 thank you very much. I’ve always been a popular gal, what can I say?

How much do you miss me and how much are looking forward to margaritas and mexican food with me for your bday?!
Asked by Stevy (real life friend and college roommate)
I miss you a lot! I’m ready to catch up in person. Oh yes, and have WAY too many margaritas of course!

Would you ever audition for So You Think You Can Dance?
Asked by Allison
No way! I could never compete with all those crazy talented kids. I like to watch it though. Well, except for the ballroom dancing people when they do solos. It just looks dumb.

Did you know that the servers at our Chili's get paid $8/hr (plus tips)? asked by Allison
Well I think I found my next job. That’s crazy! I think that’s what I made at the USO, without the tips! And their service is soooo great. Oh wait. No it’s not, and now I know why.

If you could talk to your 16 year old self and give her a piece of advice...what you tell her? Asked by Jeri (who now has a blog!)
Great question! I would tell her that, “It gets better!” At the time every thing was a huge drama. I woke up worried everyday about something. Now, I feel much more settled and at peace. I wish I could have told myself that. Oh, and that I wouldn’t marry my current boyfriend, that would have saved LOTS of drama.

What celeb do you think you look most like? And..what celeb would you want to play you in a movie of your life? Asked by Melissa (New Girl)
Well my high school boyfriend used to tell me I looked like Kimmy Gibbler from Full House. Jerk. Jordan says I look like Kristen Davis from Sex and the City. Sweet! I think I’d pick Angie Harmon to play me in a movie. She’s conservative, and I can’t have some hippy liberal playing me.

Do you like cheese? If so, what's your favorite kind?
Asked by KD
I’m lactose intolerant. :( I do like the taste of cheese, but because it upsets my stomach I don’t usually eat it unless it’s on something else.

Most treasured item of clothing? (Wedding dress excluded) Asked by KD
Can I pick a pair of shoes? I have these amazing red shoes that were the most expensive I had purchased to date. I have never seen anyone else with them, and can’t wear them without getting a compliment.

White meat or dark meat? Asked by KD
It doesn’t matter because I don’t eat meat I can see! Cover it up with something and as long as it tastes good, I’m down with either.

I'm still a bit concerned over the hugs situation. Can you explain this?
Asked by High Heels
I DO NOT like people near my face. It’s my space, and my space bubble is pretty large. I even have to be in a huggy mood to hug Jordan. Getting a hug from me is a huge deal, and a highly treasured commodity. If you try to hug me, I will back up and give you a high five.

If Texas was suddenly given to Mexico and no longer a state, where would you want to live?
Asked by Jamie
It pretty much is already Mexas. I think I’d still live there. The people will be nice and the food will be amazing. :)

How horribly would you freak out if Nancy Pelosi became Prez? Asked by Jamie
I would be even happier to live in Mexas.

Do you love or hate Sean Hannity?
Asked by Jamie
I like him. I think he has great points, and gets his thoughts across effectively. He is less abrasive than Rush (who I also like) and Ann Coulter (who I also like), but not as pompous as Michael Savage (who I can’t stand).

What is your most embarrassing moment? I bet it is good. Asked by Jeri
Is it bad that I have a hard time thinking of one? Maybe I should be more easily embarrassed! I would have to say it would be in high school, freshman year, while working on our class float for the homecoming parade. I was working on the front part and wanted to walk to the back part my sock got caught on a nail. I fell straight on my face in the middle of the float. As a teenager, this is like death. Although, I’m not sure if anyone else remembers this!

What's your favorite restaurant in Houston?
Asked by Jill
Ooo. Tough one. I think I have to go with Pappasitos. It's not Houston centric, but it is amazing. I could drink the salsa if I wasn't drinking their fabulous margaritas. I;m tearing up a little thinking about it now. Last time I ate there I ate so much I had to barf. And it was totally worth it.
One more round then it's back to the usual...

i think i would flee to Mexas if Pelosi became Prez, too.

really? not a hugger? how do you make it through a church service? i'm bombarded by hugs. it would be fun to watch you squirm.

MG said...

Pappasitos..yum! Could you please stop bringing up all the yummy Tex-Mex food on your blog, as like you I am unable to have any:) It's a cruel punishment!

i think the one time I remember you spontaneously going into hug mode was senior year when you made homecoming court. i don't think i've ever seen anyone fly out of a room (from a curled up position no less) so fast.

HAHAH some of these questions cracked me up! Great post!

Sad you are lactose intolerant, and I want to see a picture of these fabulous red shoes. I don't feel as strongly averse to hugs as you, but I only hug people I am really close to.

Also, Michael Savage's voice makes me want to swallow 900 really sharp tortilla chips whole. OMG.

Shana said...

I too was totally cracking up at some of these!! So that means you wouldn't want Ashley Judd playing you in a movie?! LOL

And I agree about Pelosi, if that were to ever happen it would be time to go SOUTH of the border!! What a nightmare she is...

Oh my this is a lot of question and answer! Good read though!

I can't wait for the next round. Glad you were able to comment btw. That is funny about the 5th grader and the camera.

Kimmy Gibbler? No "hug" for him.

Nice advice to your 16 year old self. I have to tell you that you even get more chilled as the years tick by. Ahhhh.

Nice answer to the Nancy Pelosi question :)

Gleatie said...

Ok, I got here to tell you that I THINK that the "Sally" here is real but I guess I will see tomorrow! Steph from The Adventures of Jon and Steph told me that it was!! I'll keep you posted.

I am also cracking up at your post. Can I flee to Mexas with y'all if Pelosi becomes Prez! God, that is a truly horrifying thought.

Allison said...

I would proudly be a citizen of Mexas if it meant we could have a better president.

Tania said...

I want to see the red shoes!

You're too funny...love your answers!

Ashley said...

Pelosi 2016 ;)

Allison said...

Oh, Casey, you are greatness. The Pappasitos reference made me so angry at the entire state of Michigan. Forget Mexas...give this state to Canada and call it a day! And your blog makes me irritated with other folks who don't update their blogs frequently enough...

SassyEngineer said...

I love Q & A, and especially when it is a conservative gal! I love your answer to the Sean Hannity question and totally agree :) I used to listen to Rush and Sean everyday at work until I started getting too depressed about the state of our country.

Pappasitos is also delish!

Via said...

Ha! I'm also anti-hug. I really like my bubble.

Sondre Lyn said...

I also would like to see a picture of the red shoes.

I have to laugh at the no-hugging thing. I don't like people in my personal space as well, and that includes close talkers, close sitters, side huggers, etc. I used to not like anyone to even shake my hand, but I managed to get over that one. I don't have the nerve to turn anyone down, though. When we were in England, I was cheek-kissed way too often by total strangers with British teeth and breath. Ugh.

Jill said...

Pappasitos never disappoints! Love all your answers... very funny.

I would also like to see these red shoes! I remembered you like longer tops and I have a few of these. They wash well and mine haven't lost thier shape at all.

So, you don't like dogs and you don't do hugs.
What kind of sick person are you???

Jk jk!!

I got knocked over by a big black lab when I was little, and she would bite my ears. Then my grampa "took care of her" as my gramma puts it haha.
I still love dogs though!

Full of Heart said...

I live in a Hippie Liberal central. I think you thus would probably hate me.

Allison said...

p.s. I used to feel the EXACT same way about dogs. never had one, never wanted one. made fun of people who were in love with their dog.

now? I am one of them...well sort of. I still don't like other people's dogs - just my own. I think you'd like Addie. She gets frequent baths (at least 2 or 3 a week), she doesn't drool or smell, she doesn't jump unless you solicit it, and well...you do have the poop issue, but if you take her on a walk she will poop in a field or something then you don't have to pick it up :)

Rachel said...

Do you remember the time when you shot Kramer (my dog) with a foam dart gun? HAHA!!! He was so offended! I love and miss you Casey. You are amazing!

Sarah said...

I am sitting on it couch right now.haaaa

New Girl on Post said...

I can see the Kristen Davis resemblance!

The Mrs. said...

allright so you had me at the hugs thing, I just dont get em, then you really had me at the Hannity comment, and then you REALLY had me at the michael savage comment. Ugh, he's like a hug from a stranger. just icky.

I stopped by to see what cool stuff you have on the right side of your blog :)

I should come back and ready some of the older posts you have. I bet they are good.
