Trips Trips Trips

This week we officially booked our last "big" trip before PCSing (aka moving for the non-mil folks). What are we doing? Cruising again!

This time we are going with Royal Caribbean. After an Italian cruise line and a cruise full of Germans, I think it will be nice to try an American style cruise. Did I mention this makes 3 cruises in a year? Does that make us old people?

Our cruise (booked through USAA, which I highly recommend) is in late September and heads to: Rome, Genoa, Nice, Barcelona, Mallorca, and Sardinia. Rome is the only place we have been before, so it should be a lot of fun!

Since we are getting down to our last year in Europe, we have also tried to plan out trips for the rest of our time. If you are new to Europe, make sure you are traveling every month! We tried to go somewhere every single month and still feel like we have a lot to see!

Plans are:
May- Berlin, June- Me to Texas, July- Bavaria/Austria and Poland for me, August- Scotland, September- Cruise, November- J to USA, December or January- London, February- Florence, March- Prague, April- Poland (Aushchwitz, Krakow), and then it's almost time to PCS! Whew!

At least we can say we spent our time here really seeing Europe, right?

PS- To those of you that purchased a domain for your blog- do you then have unlimited picture space? Who did you go through?

I really wish we could do the amount of traveling you have done... We are in our second year here and haven't done anything really.. But with 4 kids, it makes it a bit harder.

I bought my domain through LiquidWeb. I have 20Gb of space to use however I want. Most of it will be pictures. I host three websites that are powered by Wordpress and one photo album powered by Gallery2. That is all the stuff I will have on it to take room from pictures. I bought a bit domain just to have room for pictures.

I really hope that the military sends us over to Europe one day! I would love to travel around as much as you have!

I'm jealous! Maybe someday ... well ... I know someday. :)

When you're in Bavaria, go to Neuschwanstein. Its beautiful. And when you're in Austria, if you can, take a day and go to Bad Ragaz and spend a day at the spa!

Ummm ... and if you're in western Austria, specifically Lech, and you run into a ski instructor named Zamir or Wolfie ... RUN the other way ... Unless you want to have the absolute time of your life skiing and drinking! You might end up breaking a bone or two. You might end up not remembering all of it. But you will walk away having conquered runs you never thought you could. You will walk away drinking more beer than you ever thought you could. You will walk away having taken more shots than you thought you could. Actually, you will be so sore and drunk, they will have to carry you home. And your parents will be so very, very, very impressed with the ski instructors that they spent gobs of money on. So impressed that they will sort of forget you were carried home. :)

I'm so glad y'all are really enjoying the travel. Woohoo for June! Can't wait to see you!

I bought my domain through godaddy (when I was doing the bow thing) but I didn't use them for hosting. A domain is just the address.

Wow, that's a lot of traveling! I'm really impressed that you are getting to travel each month.

In Scotland, try to get to Edinburgh. It's my favorite city in the world; so pretty!

I'm really impressed that you took such advantage of living overseas and went to see so many things! So many wives just complain forever about how much they hate being overseas, and you really seized the moment to take full advantage!

In response to your comment: Dude, you're ALREADY cool. Haha. But no comments on the cruise. Hubbs and I are all cruised out and that was over a year ago. I need to explore and get on my feet.

And yeah, I can't wait till you come back to the states either. In the meantime, I'll do some shopping for you in large Jersey AND Texas malls! Apparently, I like to cover my bases. ;)

Royal Caribbean is amazing! I've been on their cruise line 3 or 4 times and love it. My mom has gone with them about 8 times. We will never go with any other American cruise line. I'm trying to talk the husband into a cruise after deployment, he has never been. And I had no idea about USAA thank you!

I am sooo jealous of all your fabulous trips! Seriously. And I TOTALLY love cruising! I think it's one of the best worry-free vacations you can take. I think a cruise ship is like a big floating playground for adults!!! :)

What? You're telling me that Moldova is not even a consideration for your Tour De Europe? You're really not interested in getting back to God's country and say "I've visited many places, including the poorest country in Europe."

Seriously though, I'm so jealous. If there's one thing Josh and I regret not doing before having kids it's not traveling enough (or anywhere for that matter). Now we have to settle for that opportunity in our lives when we're going trough a mid-life crisis. Awesome.
