Come out, or else...

In the last week there have been WAY too many visitors via email. Yahoo mail, Windows mail, aol mail. All of the above.

That is NOT cool. Why are you emailing my blog? One of you even emailed my "whine time" topics specifically. (Yes, you from San Deigo, I see you.)

If you email someones blog to others, the polite thing to do would be to comment. Or, if you came here via email, you should comment as well.

Times like this make me want to take my blog private...

(PS- Thank you to real life friends Allison, Brie, Serena, and Leslie for commenting via the blog, email, or facebook. Now you aren't stalkers. :) )

everytime you post this, I wish I had something witty to say about this, but unfortunately I am not that creative.

I would understand if they were emailing the Egypt pics, but other posts? That doesn't seem right.

How strange! I would have never thought to email someone's blog to another person. weird!

I have no idea how to email blogs to other people, I'm new at this whole thing. I do love your blog though and your pictures! And, I'm not stalker-ish so I am leaving a comment!

Wow. That is so strange. I wish they would come up with something where you could see who exactly is reading your blog. Then it would be a little less creepy.

How in the heck do you know who does what???? I try to be super secretive while reading blogs at work (by disconnecting from the ethernet where they monitor me and connecting to the wireless guest access, aren't I creative?), but I comment when I have something to say! How do you know who stays super secret all the time?

Oh case, it's just cause you're so interesting and cause everyone love you!

f-r-e-a-k-y!! (insert twilight zone music here)....

I too think about going "private" but, I think that would be rude (& a pain in the @$$) for family :(

I love reading your blog. But I'm sad to say it wasn't e-mailed to me.

I love reading your blog, but don't know about emailing it. I love how you can figure out all these things about your readers. I use Google Analytics but can only figure the basic stuff out.

I'm sorry I don't comment often, but I do enjoy reading about your adventures. I'll try to comment more often.

I hate emailers!!! Someone has been emailing around a link from my blog with pics in it. :( It really bugs me.

weird. i was wondering about that. i have seen some of those on my visitor trackers (i use site metter and something else. what do you use?) and i had just assumed that someone got my blog address from my email signature... even though i don't necessarily email someone with yahoo addresses.
anyway.... freaky.
and now i'm perplexed by someone who commented in this post about being the o'fallon girl and an air force wife, since scott AFB (where we're stationed) is next door to o'fallon il.
okay. sorry for such a long comment. have a good weekend!

can you set your blog to friends-only? that's what i did with my livejournal and blogger (and everything else) so no one can see it w/o my approval

Lindsay said...

I hate that. I had this happen for a period of time until I figured out it was *R*'s ex.

I was less than pleased. But then I realized that I really don't care. If chooses to spend her time stalking me, more power to her!

I don't understand what the issue is, to be honest? You have a public blog with a ton of followers. You probably have some followers because someone enjoyed your blog and emailed the link to a friend.

J.J. said...

Sorry about all that :(

Do people email posts like they do news stories? Being a newby to the bloggin' thing, I don't get some of this stuff.

Stick it to em!

J.J. said...

Thanks for stopping by mine btw! I have 3 followers. I have arrived. LOL!

I'm totally a stalker (tongue sticking out :-).

It's just that sometimes you're such a witty, genious peice of work that there's not much left to say/comment. So, people read, have a good laugh, thank the good Lord for making them "normal" and move on.

If I find out I'm having a boy, I'm sending him to Germany. All yours.

I found your blog because I was searching for military wife blogs. My husband just finshed Air Force BMT and I was wanting to read about other people's experiences. Does that make me a stalker? Is your blog just supposed to be for people you know in real life?

Cole said...

I had no idea you could track people that arrived via an emailed link!!

What can I say? You're popular! Your followers want others to read you too. :-)

Kristen said...

Forget them. Some people are gonna be assholes no matter what.

I think you're great. If they don't, I'd question their intelligence.

Crazy Shenanigans said...

I've had that happen before. I hate when people dont even give you a heads up about it!!

Stacey said...

Okay, that is tooooo weird. That would freak me out too. Strange people suck...

How do you and KD know this stuff???

I swear. Sometimes I feel so blog illiterate. All I have is a hit counter with locations. Boringggggg.

:)

Jenn said...

This is Jenn and I read your blog from KD's blog. We know each other in person. So I pretty much link of her blog to everyone she follows because they are all pretty good. I'm gradually starting to follow the really good ones myself.

I didn't even know you could email a blog like that, but I, too, get frustrated when my analytics shows me weird things like that and no one is commenting.

Laura said...

Wah! Either you be proud of all your readers or go private and deal with it.
I checked my spy-tool, no evidence of emailing info. Oh, and come to find out, someone I don't know has me on their blogroll. Weird!

I'm all scared to comment now!!!!

I found your blog because you left the funniest McFan pics I've seen!!! And I just wanted to say thanks! :)

I'll be back if you have me...I promise not to email your blog to anyone!
